National Chang Kai-shek Memorial Hall

National Chang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is located in the center of Taipei City, and it was built to commemorate former president of Taiwan, Chang Kai-shek. The National Theater and Concert Hall are right next to the Memorial Hall, and lots art performing or exhibition play in the theater and hall. The Square in front of the Memorial Hall is not only for people to rest, but also the location of some political or society movement. The welcome ceremony of the president of our diplomatic relation country also held here.

Recommondation:
The National Theater / Concert Hall / Decorated archway / The ceremony of military policemen hand over the mission.

Yangmingshan National Park is near Taipei City, and we call it “Garden of Taipei”. It’s famous by the hot springs, sulphur fumarole of Dayoukeng and Xiaoyoukeng, geothermal and crater lake. It’s also well-known by the Calla Lily in Zhuzihu, the Great field of Qingtiangang, Eco trail in Butterfly Valley, and the public hot spring in Lengshuikeng. The nightscape of Taipei is great, too!

From Meander to , take MRT to Taipei Main Station, then go to Exit Y6. Transfer bus #260 to Yangmingshan Bus Station. Take Shuttle Bus to Xiaoyoukeng Stop.
You can take bus S15 back from Lengshuikeng to Jiantan Stop.

Meander @ Yangmingshan Juansi Waterfall Trail

Yangmingshan Juansi Waterfall Trail

Jingshan Road trailhead → Juansi Waterfall → Observation deck → Qingtiangang visitor center

Juansi Waterfall Trail is located in Yangmingshan National Park. The shadow of forest among both side and the temperature is nice and cool. It suits for all ages. Total distance is 2.2 km, entire journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

From Meander to Juansi Waterfal Trail, take MRT(Tamsui line)to Jiantan staion, transfer to the bus(S 15 main line (MRT Jiantan Station to Qingtiangang Stop), 108 (Park Bus)), then you will reach Juansi Waterfall Stop.

Meander @ National Palace Museum

National Palace Museum

National Palace Museum was built in October 25, 1965. It collects antiques which across four dynasties of Ancient China. It’s also one of the three major museums in the world (the other two are Louvre and the British Museum). Jade cabbage with Insects, Meat-shaped stone and Mao-kung Ting are the most popular collection in the Museum.

Tripadvisor gave the museum “Certificate of Excellence” in October, 2012.

Meander @ Xiangshan Hiking Trail

Xiangshan Hiking Trail

Xiangshan(Elephant Mountain) is located in Xinyi District, Taipei City. It’s well-known by the shape which looks like an elephant. The other three mountains are “Shishan(Lion Mountain)”, “Hushan(Tiger Mountain)”, “Baoshan(Leopard Mountain)”. Those four mountains are so-called “Four Beasts Mountain”. Even though Xiangshan doesn’t have tall altitude, it’s still a good spot where can take a great view of Taipei city and Taipei 101.

From Meander to Xiangshan, you need to take the MRT(Red line) to Xiangshan station. Walk among Section 5 of Xinyi Road, then turn left when you see Lane 150, Section 5, Xinyi Road. The entrance of Xiangshan Trail is in Alley 22, Lane 150, Section 5, Xinyi Road.

Btw, right now Australia open has started and FIFA World Cup will begin in June.
